Five weeks ago, we asked if you’d join us on the journey of a laboratory beagle with an undiagnosed medical condition. We suspected he would require major surgery, but had no idea where his path would lead us. Little did we know that it would take us to dozens of friends who would help name him Trooper, thousands of supporters who would “like and share” his story, more than a hundred donors that would contribute to his surgery’s cost, and a wonderful woman named Tracey who would give him a loving forever home.
The beagle with the red, squishy face—the one who really didn’t stand much of a chance in a research laboratory —was adopted tonight. God speed, Trooper. And thank you, everyone, for seeing Trooper to the good life.
