Brindle Beauties

There’s no other way to say it—our volunteers are life savers. One of our foster volunteers saw a plea for help on Facebook. Two 6-month-old brindle terrier mixes had been abandoned in an apartment near the Jersey Shore when their owners were evicted. The dogs were left without food or water.

A wonderful couple that helps unite lost dogs with their owners was contacted. They put out the plea on Facebook for a foster or forever home for the two sweet girls—knowing that sending the dogs to a shelter might mean euthanasia. That’s when our volunteers stepped up to the plate and offered to foster the dogs.

The dogs are now safely in two of our foster homes. They were given baths and food and water and a quiet place to rest. In spite of everything that has happened to them, they were great in their crates last night. The dogs will be spayed and vaccinated, as it appears they have never received vet care in their lives. After that, they will be up for adoption.

If you’d like to donate money toward the dogs’ care, please click here to make a donation through PayPal. If you are interested in giving these dogs a home, click here to fill out an application. We’d also like to hear from you if you have Valentine-themed names for these sweethearts!
